6/8/17: Three Hours Full Of Fuzz Rock

ezb8yhlnuedttzs6p9rc

Summer break began this week around here at SCAD-Atlanta. That means the Fuzz Factory has resumed summer hours. That’s right, three hours, one extra hour of rock and roll. A good way to kick off summer is with a big dose of Fuzz Rock and that’s exactly what happened. Thursday night, I played three hours of songs filled with the thickest, fattest riffs and the spaciest grooves. Listeners of this show know what that’s all about.

Tune into the Fuzz Factory on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (www.scadatlantaradio.org) Thursday nights from 8-11 PM (EST). I’ll be back next week. I will be doing some traveling this summer, so I will not be in the radio studio every Thursday night. I’ll make sure to announce here when those days are.

1/26/17: Fuzz Factory Sweden

20681805194_896922be30_b

I’m always psyched to bring the Fuzz Factory to anyone willing to listen. This week I was super psyched. Why? Because the entire show was dedicated to one place, Sweden. In case you weren’t aware, Sweden is the Fuzz Capitol of the World. SO much excellent hard rock, psychedelic rock and fuzz/stoner rock comes out of that country. It’s actually kind of amazing.

The timing of this theme is due to the upcoming Truckfighters concert. Next Tuesday, my favorite of all Swedish bands is playing the Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta. I’ll be there. I cannot wait.

Listen to the Fuzz Factory on SCAD Atlanta Radio (www.scadatlantaradio.org) every Thursday from 8-10 PM (EST).

Until the next time, catch you on the flip side. Here’s the super fat fuzzy 100% Swedish playlist:

Fuzzed out guitars, is there anything better when gearing up for midterm? I think not. This week the Fuzz Factory returns to it’s core. The world of fuzz rock. Every so often, my world needs this more than anything else. Listening to it all is easy. Deciding on what to play is the hard part. I decided to mix in a few obscure oldies from the 70’s as well (Atomic Rooster, Josefus and Bang!). Together it was the loud groove you expect to come from this factory.

Here’s the playlist:

Hypnotiser – Arrowhead

Gathering Of Ancient Tribes – Goat

Sleeping For Years – Atomic Rooster
