Red Fang & Fireball Ministry

Tonight the Fuzz Factory returns with a double barred shot of powerful rock & roll. The special feature tonight is Red Fang and Fireball Ministry.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Here are a few videos to give you a taste of what is coming at you tonight. The first one, “Wires” may be the best video ever made.

Pepper Makes Things Better

Welcome to the Fuzz Factory. I’ve got another great show lined up for tonight. The special feature compares and contrasts two bands that feature the guitar work of Pepper Keenan: Corrosion Of Conformity and Down.

Check it out. Be there, Thursday nights from 8-10 PM (EST) on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (www.scadatlantaradio.org).

Don’t forget to add a little Pepper…

Thee Hypnotics and Sun Dial: Two Bands Ahead Of Their Time

TONIGHT, the Fuzz Factory is on from 8-10 PM (EST). Tonight’s show will feature music from two bands that were well ahead of their time. Thee Hypnotics and Sun Dial made most of their music in the late 80’s and early 90’s. They floated against the grain by playing a style of music that would be often imitated and popularized by other bands in subsequent years. These are two bands that Fuzz Factory listeners should get to know. Check out tonight’s show to hear 4 songs from each.

Here’s a sample…

25 Years Ago Today

25 years ago today the world smelled like teen spirit. The iconic video for Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit first aired 25 years ago today. The album Never mind was released later in the month.

It was a big deal. News spread real quick too. I still remember every moment of seeing this video for the first time. It seemed like millions of other saw it at that moment too. The world was never the same.

Another 180 Minutes Of 120 Minutes

Tonight is the second in a four part series featuring the playlists from the groundbreaking MTV show 120 Minutes. As I mentioned last week, there are so many good song to play I decided to break it down according to years. The years the videos for these songs aired on the show. This is also likely (not always) the year the song was first released. Tonight, I’m playing songs from 1991-1996, which are probably the golden years of alternative rock.

Make sure to tune in tonight, 8-11 PM (EST) on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (www.scadatlantaradio.org).

Please note, after tonight, there will be no Fuzz Factory the next two weeks. I’ll be on vacation in Alaska and Vancouver.

Here’s a sample of what you might hear tonight:
