The Final 180 Minutes Of 120 Minutes

TONIGHT marks the final installment of the special feature of the summer. The 120 Minutes special feature. This four part series features the playlists from the groundbreaking MTV show 120 Minutes. Tonight, I’m playing songs from 2003-2013, the years the videos for these songs aired on the show. This is also likely (not always) the year the song was first released. These were the final years of the show, when MTV barely payed videos and content like this was demoted to MTV2.

Make sure to tune in tonight, 8-11 PM (EST) on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (

8/18/16: 180 Minutes Of 120 Minutes (Part 3)

The Fuzz Factory returns! I’m back in town. The last two weeks I’ve been on a vacation to Alaska and Vancouver, Canada. I saw many incredible things and had some amazing experiences.

Back in the saddle again, it was time for more 120 Minutes music. There are so many good song to play I decided to break it down according to the years the videos for these songs aired on the show. Part 3 featured songs from 1996-2003. In my opinion these were the years that alternative rock became timeless. In other words, most everything from this era sounds like it could be new music today.

For me, these years were pretty good years. I bought a ton if music and saw a whole lot of concerts. I still have many vivid rock & roll memories from those years. Those years were transitional ones for me. I left my career in graphic design and earned a MFA in Painting. Big changes were happening at that time.
