Steely Dan = Surgery Music?

This is so typical of me, I remember what music was playing in the operating room on Tuesday. It’s the last thing I remember before the anesthesia kicked in. I believe they were playing the album Aja. I heard “Deacon Blues” and the beginning of “Peg.” I asked the nurse if they always play Steely Dan, then I was out like a light.

I’m recovering from surgery this week, so no Fuzz Factory tonight. My plan is to hitch a ride to the radio studio the following two weeks, so this should be my only absence due to surgery. Remember, summertime is great Fuzz Factory time. Listen Thursdays from 8-11 PM (EST) on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (http://www.scadatlantaradio.org).

This Week It’s The Stones

Yeah, I’m going Tuesday night. Headed to Bobby Dodd Stadium to see the Rolling Stones. It’s not my first time seeing the Stones. I’ve seen them before, back in 1994 on the Voodoo Lounge tour. At the time, I remembered thinking how this easily could be my last opportunity to see them. After all, the Stones were thirty years into their career at that time. I never would have imagined seeing them again, 21 years later!

Therefore this Thursday, the Fuzz Factory is dedicated to the longevity and influence of the Rolling Stones. The show will feature their songs, songs they covered and cover versions of their songs. It’ll be fun. Don’t forget, it’s also the first three hour show of the year. Summertime is great Fuzz Factory time. Listen Thursdays from 8-11 PM (EST) on SCAD-Atlanta Radio (http://www.scadatlantaradio.org).
