Time flies. Time stands still. 20 years ago can seem like last year. Recently, I was thinking (as I always do) about the mysteries of life. The usual subjects came to mind. Time, space, the power of the groove. In the midst of those deep thoughts, I began contemplating the death of Kurt Cobain and how it really was 20 years ago. That is amazing to me. Like many people of my generation, I remember exactly what I was doing the moment I heard about his death. It was early April 1994. I was moving into an apartment on Campbell Street in Chicago. I heard on WXRT as I was parking to unload my car. Do you recall what you were doing when you heard the news?
That’s why this week on the Fuzz Factory, the Compare/Contrast feature was Nirvana and cover versions of Nirvana songs.
