12/5/13: Cover Song Spectacular

This week was lame. I had the week off from work and my stress level did not go down at all. I had a storm of problems hanging over me all week. Rough stuff happening every day made this week feel like three weeks in one.

All day I looked forward to the cover songs show knowing it would especially be a highlight in a week of demons like this. Well sure enough, I got into a car accident on the way to the studio. Unbelievable! My fault too, thankfully no one was hurt. Fortunately, my car was able to drive away from the scene and I was in the SCAD-Atlanta Radio studio only 45 minutes late. However, when I arrived the string of bad luck continued. Dead air over the internet. Storms had knocked out the power in the studio. I was able to reboot the system to enough functionality that I was able to finally broadcast the Fuzz Factory. Better late than never.

Nothing can stop the rock & roll. Not dead air. Not even a car accident. That car accident had no chance at keeping me down. After all, there was an important show this week. The latest installment of the Fuzz Factory Cover Song Spectacular. Most definitely one of my favorite regular features. It’s the costume party of music and so much fun. This week was no exception. We’re on winter break here, which means an extra hour of the Fuzz Factory.

Also, just to keep up the element of surprise, I had an unexpected guest in the studio for part of the show. Seemingly out of the blue, my cousin Janet was in town from Chicago. She is an occasional Fuzz Factory listener, which made her visit to the studio even more special.

ATTENTION LISTENERS: Next week is the last Fuzz Factory of 2013. I will be traveling for the holidays the final two Thursdays of the year. Therefore, you must make sure to tune into to the show next Thursday for the latest installment of the Full On Fuzz Rock Show. Next Thursday, 12/12 at 8 PM (EST), I will feature AT LEAST THREE HOURS of super fat riffs, heavy grooves and psychedelic trips. As always, it’s gonna be great. Make sure to be there.
