12/6/12: Clay Reed of Subsonics

It was a different kind of show, just because I had a guest in the studio. My guest was Clay Reed of the Subsonics. For those not in the know, the Subsonics are stalwarts of the Atlanta rock scene. They’ve played and toured  with countless acts over the years while influencing many aspiring musicians along the way, including the hip Atlanta kids in the Black Lips.

Clay and I discussed the history of the band and their upcoming news and events. Throughout the show, we talked about the latest Subsonics disc, their first in 7 years, which was released earlier in 2012. I also learned they were headed up to Brooklyn for a show the following night.

On this Fuzz Factory program, Clay chose a few of his favorite songs (that I had on hand) to drop into the playlist and I chose a few of my favorite Subsonics songs to play.  Here is the playlist.

Listen to the Fuzz Factory in 2013. Your ears will immediately thank you.
