11/7/13: Lou Reed

Lou Reed had the best frown in rock & roll. Completely horizontal and a perfect representation of his entire career in music. Regardless of the subject, Lou Reed primarily presented a dark vision of humanity in his songs. The results were as true as it gets.

This week on the Fuzz Factory, I played some of my favorite Lou Reed songs as a tribute to his career and cultural legacy. Personally, I find the Velvet Underground era his greatest contribution to rock & roll. He always remained a progressive artist in his solo career, however that all pales in comparison to the VU. It really does.

Rock & roll radio is still going strong. Get hip to the Fuzz Factory – and if you like what you hear, go tell all the people you know and even some you don’t know. Preach on about the Fuzz Factory in all it’s majestic glory. Spread the word. Silky smooth style. The Fuzz Factory – saving rock & roll radio one week at a time.

I came out of the gates roaring and eventually mellowed out while making the transition to the Lou Reed feature. Here is the Velvet Fuzz playlist:
